A day in the nature reserves of Monterufoli- Caselli can teach a lot to children and adults.
Our farm is located in the regions of Pomarance and the Val di Cecina and offers a wide range of nature trails that can be explored on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The farm is also located near the nature reserve of Berignone and a few kilometers from the river Cecina, still accessible to bathing.
A day spent in the Provincial Nature Reserve of “Monterufoli – Caselli” can be an extraordinary teacher for children, but also for adults. It is situated in the centre of the Colline Metallifere and is an almost entirely woodland territory, which extends into the Upper Cecina Valley in the territories of Volterra and, in part, Pomarance, on the regional agro-forestry state property. The area is crossed by the two streams Sellate and Fosci, while the river Cecina is its southern border; other areas of environmental value, such as the valley of the river Pavone and the thickets of Tatti, are included in areas adjacent to the Reserve.
In spring and summer you can take part in guided tours and trekkings to the geothermal area and along the trails that run alongside the river Cecina.
Periodically guided tours are organized, which can be booked directly at the farm.
Periodically it’s possible to book the participations of trip directly from farmhouse.
